Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1996. It has the state of art laboratory facilities equipped with high caliber equipment and machinery. The department is collaborated with M/s Roots industry Coimbatore, M/s TVS Training and Services Chennai, National Skill Training Institute Bangalore and Advanced Training Institute Chennai to offer training to staff and students to improve their practical knowledge and skills. The department is an Approved Research Center by the Anna University Chennai to carry out the collaborative research. UG programme of BE Mechanical Engineering is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi since 2009 and is reaccredited in the year 2020 for a period of three years. Students are exposed to latest developments in the field of Mechanical Engineering by means of organizing symposia, seminars, workshops to enrich their knowledge.
