Event Name: ANRF Sponsored Five Days National Level Workshop on “Hybrid Quantum–AI for Drug Discovery and Molecular Property Prediction with Antiviral Drug Development using Google Quantum AI”.
Day 1 featured an insightful session by Dr. J. Angel Ida Chellam, Associate Professor/IT, Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College.

Event Name: The 2-Day Workshop on PCB Design and Fabrication
Over the two days, participants experienced Comprehensive theoretical sessions, Hands-on PCB design and fabrication practice, Real-world insights from industry expert Mr. T. Shanmugaraja. The workshop empowered students with practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world applications. Event name: National Conference on “Convergence of Electronic Communication and Artificial Intelligence for Smart Applications” on 07.04.2026.
This conference represents an important milestone in promoting innovation, collaboration, and interdisciplinary research in emerging technologies. The event has received an enthusiastic response with over 100 research papers submitted by academicians, researchers, and industry professionals from various institutions. After a rigorous peer-review process by an expert panel, 42 high-quality research papers have been selected for presentation, showcasing cutting-edge developments and practical smart applications at the intersection of electronics, communication, and artificial intelligence.

Event name: Industrial Visit to MILKY MIST
A group of 60 second-year ECE students from Section A visited Milky Mist today (09.04.2026) as part of their Microprocessor and Microcontroller course. During the industrial visit, students observed industrial automation processes and learned how microcontrollers and processors are applied in real-time production environments. The visit offered an excellent opportunity to connect classroom concepts with practical industrial applications, helping students gain a clearer understanding of how controllers, processors, and automation systems work together in modern industries. Overall, it was an insightful and enriching learning experience for the students.


Event Name: Industrial Visit to SAKTHI SUGARS
A total of 60 second-year ECE students from Section B had the opportunity to visit Sakthi Sugars, located in Sakthi Nagar, Erode District, on 08.04.2026 as part of their Microprocessor and Microcontroller course.
During the industrial visit, students gained valuable exposure to industrial operations and the practical applications of microcontrollers in process industries. The visit served as an excellent platform to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world industrial practices, helping students understand how controllers and processors play a crucial role in industrial automation and monitoring systems. Overall, the visit provided a meaningful and enriching learning experience, strengthening students’ understanding of the industry–academia interface and inspiring them toward practical innovation in embedded and control systems.


Event Name: A Two-day hands-on training program on “PCB Design and Fabrication.”
The session was expertly handled by Mr. T. Shanmugaraja and Mr. Ramesh, Assistant Professors from the Department of ECE, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore. They provided a comprehensive walkthrough of the entire PCB design process, guiding students from concept to completion. A proud moment as all participants individually completed the full PCB design process successfully, gaining valuable practical exposure and confidence. This hands-on experience has empowered students with essential skills for real-world electronics design and innovation.


Event Name: Extension Activity
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering proudly organized a meaningful extension activity at Nallur Government School, Tirupur. Our III Year ECE students, along with faculty members Ms. S. V. Saveeithaa and Ms. S. Vidhya (Assistant Professors), actively engaged in a day filled with learning, awareness, and social responsibility.
Tree Plantation Drive:
Students contributed towards a greener future by planting saplings and spreading awareness on environmental conservation.
Awareness Program on Phone Usage: An interactive session was conducted to educate school students on the responsible and mindful use of mobile phones

The resource person Er. R. Sasikumar, Director – Technical, Sara Controls and Automation, Coimbatore, delivered an insightful and practical session on integrating Human-Machine Interface (HMI) with PLC systems and enabling data-driven industrial automation applications.
Day 3 Highlights- ANRF-sponsored five-day workshop on “IoT-Based Intelligent Decision-Making Systems using AI, Edge Computing, and Real-Time Data Analytics for Smart and Sustainable Applications.” An insightful session on “PLC Foundations for Modern Automation.” The session was handled by Mr. Y. Satheesh, Director – Technical, Sara Controls and Automation, Coimbatore. During the session, he delivered an informative lecture on the fundamentals of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and their significant role in modern industrial automation.
Glimpses of Day 2 – ANRF Sponsored Workshop on “IoT-Based Intelligent Decision-Making Systems Using AI, Edge Computing, and Real-Time Data Analytics for Smart and Sustainable Applications.”
The Forenoon session was handled by Mr. Aravinth SM, UI/UX Designer, who introduced the participants to the fundamentals of UI/UX design. He emphasized the importance of user-centred design principles in building intuitive and efficient IoT-based applications Afternoon Session: Real-Time Data Analytics for Smart and Sustainable Applications.
The Afternoon session was delivered by Ms. P. S. Niji, Assistant Professor, who provided valuable insights into data analytics and real-time data processing. She explained how data-driven approaches enable intelligent decision-making in IoT systems, supporting smart and sustainable technological solutions. The sessions were engaging and insightful, equipping participants with knowledge on integrating design thinking, AI, and real-time analytics for next-generation IoT applications.

Event Name: THE GLOW Project
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering successfully conducted an extension activity titled GLOW Project: “Guiding Little Ones towards Wellness” on 05.03.2026 at Diamond Jubilee Primary School.
Girl students from III and IV Year ECE along. with faculty members Mokana.G and Bhavadharani.S (Assistant Professors) actively engaged with the 5th-grade students, creating awareness about the importance of health, hygiene, and proper nutrition.
The session was designed to be fun, interactive, and educational, featuring Engaging games and activities, Awareness on healthy food habits and nutrition. Distribution of informative materials, sharing of healthy snacks, A pledge by students to adopt healthy habits and positive lifestyle choices, this initiative reflects the department’s commitment to community outreach and nurturing healthier future generations.


Event Name: “Embedded Systems: From Code to Circuits”
The session was led by Mr. Hareesh Ice Janakiraman, Director of Embedded-Guru LLC, based in Houston, Texas, United States. The session covered Fundamentals of embedded system architecture, Transition from coding to hardware implementation, Circuit-level design considerations, Industry-oriented development practices, Real-time applications and debugging strategies. The workshop effectively bridged the gap between software logic and hardware realization, enabling students to understand practical design methodologies used in the embedded industry.
