Department of Biomedical Engineering

It gives me immense pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all of you on behalf of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Erode Sengunthar Engineering College, an AICTE-approved and NAAC-accredited autonomous institution with 30 years of academic excellence. In 2018, the college introduced a 4-year full-time B.E. program in Biomedical Engineering (BME) with an initial intake of 60 students, which was increased to 120 in the academic year 2023–2024.

The department aims to address the critical challenges faced by the biomedical engineering industry, society and academia. Equally important is our unwavering commitment to our students supporting them in learning, growing, developing, and achieving their goals as they strive for excellence in their professional careers.

Our department works to lead in biomedical technology, combining science with care for people. As biomedical engineers, we connect medicine and engineering to create solutions that improve lives and support better healthcare. Whether it’s modern medical devices, important diagnostic tools, or smart computer-based methods, we are focused on developing new technologies to improve health and well-being.

Our department grows through the teamwork of our faculty, researchers, and students, whose dedication to improving human health drives our progress. I am confident that our continued efforts will lead to academic success and real improvements in healthcare.
