Equipped with advanced tools for drone fabrication and modification focused on integrating machine learning and autonomous navigation systems into drones.

The SAE Collegiate Club of Erode Sengunthar Engineering College participated in the SAEINDIA 2025 Drone Development Challenge, held on 27th–28th September 2025 at NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad, Kerela, where we successfully designed and developed a unique aircraft model. The aircraft featured a lightweight and aerodynamic airframe, a custom propulsion system and an innovative control mechanism for precise maneuverability and stability.

Our participation in the NIDAR Project represents a significant milestone, highlighting our institution’s commitment to innovation, applied research and National development in the field of unmanned aerial systems and smart farming technologies.

It is a matter of great pride for our college to have been shortlisted to collaborate on the prestigious NIDAR Project. As part of this initiative, our research team is currently developing an autonomous drone for precision agriculture applications. This project aims to integrate advanced sensing, navigation and AI-based decision-making technologies to enhance farming efficiency, optimize resource utilization and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
