Association Activities 2019-2020

The Inauguration of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering department association activities and ISOI student’s chapter activities for the academic year 2019 – 2020 was held on 22.07.2019 (Monday).  Mr.B.Rajkumar,General Manager, Peak National Trading and contracting  Company, Kuwait inaugurated the association and ISOI  student’s chapter activities. Also he delivered a guest lecture on the topic of “e-SCADA”.

Dilip Kumar, Calibration Engineer, Technical Calibration Private Limited, Chennai. delivered leaders talk on the topic of “Job openings in the calibration industries” on 07.09.2019. In his speech he shares his experience in getting a good job and way of identifying the openings. He also explained the required skills for the getting the good job in calibration industries.

Technical Seminar

Conducted a technical seminar on “Wireless Field Instruments” on 27.08.2019 (Tuesday) at 11.00 a.m. The resource person for the technical seminar is Mr. Pakkir Mohideen Kamal Basha,Managing Director, Southern Automation and Electrical Solutions Private Limited, Coimbatore.

Workshop

Four day workshop on “Make an Embedded Project in Arduino Controller” was conducted from 22.08.2019 to 25.08.2019. Mr. G.Palanivel, Project Engineer –Embedded Department, Pantech Solutions explained about Embedded systems, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers. He also provided the details about Internet of Things,layers and process of IoT. Mr.P.G.Jishnu-Electrical Department, Pantech Solutions provided the  introduction of Arduino board, configurations details and PHP & HTML – Programming .He also explained the PHP – Syntax & Data Types and PHP – Operators. Mr.M.Renjith –Power Electronics Department, Pantech Solutions explained about GPIO configuration of Arduino and programming for Arduino. He briefed about GPIO switching programming and programming for Range finder. Later the students learned about interfacing Ultrasonic Sensor and Distance finding. Finally the students completed their mini projects by utilizing the four days workshop
